Full Description:
Finance and Contracts Administrator, Operations
(12 month fixed term contract)
£18,117 - £21,565 per annum, including benefits
The NIHR Evaluation, Trials and Studies Coordinating Centre (NETSCC), School of Medicine
The University of Southampton is home to the NIHR Evaluation, Trials and Studies Coordinating Centre (NETSCC) which was established in April 2008. NETSCC is overseeing a number of programmes that are managed on behalf of the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR). This is an exciting time for NETSCC, with rapid expansion of current research programmes as well as establishing new programmes. An opportunity exists, which is a one year fixed term post to cover for maternity leave.
Fixed term contract posts are offered alternatively as secondments to existing university of Southampton employees. NETSCC would particularly welcome applications from existing employees, at the end of the secondment period existing employees would return to their previous post and grade. The secondment of existing employees to NETSCC would be subject to the agreement of their current school/professional service.
As Finance and Contracts Administrator you will provide clerical and administrative support to the NETSCC Finance team, including processing of invoices and supporting colleagues across the organisation with queries relating to ordering and paying for goods and services. You will be confident in a finance environment and capable of prioritising your own workload and using initiative to adapt and refine working practices. With relevant administrative experience and good organisational skills you will be familiar with the use of MS Outlook, Internet and MS Office. Experience of the Agresso system would be an advantage.
This is an outstanding opportunity in a developing organisation. In addition, the University offers the many benefits of a good employer – a final salary pension scheme, generous holiday allowance as well as excellent leisure and arts facilities.
Please apply on-line using the link below, making sure you complete all the screens and ensuring that you attach a full CV (including current and desired salary) and a supporting statement of no more than 250 words.
