We are looking for a number of Project Support Workers to support the provision of high quality housing and housing support services. Working with direct supervision as part of a supportive team, this is an excellent opportunity to have direct involvement in the development of a quality service that meets the specific needs of different individual clients. Clients could include vulnerable young parents, people with mental health issues, single homeless people, ex offenders, people with drug and alcohol issues, homeless families, people with learning disabilities, women at risk of domestic violence, young people at risk and leaving care, older people, people with HIV and Aids, refugees and travellers and anyone who has a housing related support need. You will need a good understanding of aspects of housing management and benefits.


Experience of working in a social care or housing setting is preferable as the role demands a broad knowledge of the issues facing users of supported housing in order to fully support clients. Strong communication and inter-personal skills are essential to success in this role. You will be required to use computers for basic word processing and data entry into various programmes (including Word and Excel), and to use emails in your day to day work. You should have experience of such applications or the ability and aptitude to learn them.


The successful applicant will hold a full UK drivers licence, have access to a vehicle and be required to undergo an enhanced CRB disclosure. Job share applications are welcome for these roles.
