Job Description
This company is a leading international environmental consultancy with an unrivalled reputation for providing high quality tailored services. With offices throughout the UK, Canada, Australia, Ireland and the USA, they provide advice and support on a wide range of strategic and site-specific environmental issues to a diverse and growing base of business, regulatory and governmental clients. They specialise in the energy, waste management, planning & development, industrial, mining & minerals and financial & professional services. They also provide expert sustainability advice that spans across all of these sectors.
South West Opportunities:
The company opened an office in Bristol in 2007 and within Exeter in 2008; further strengthening its presence within the South West of England alongside its established office within Bradford on Avon. In 2010 they also merged with another prominent consultacy firm, adding to the Exeter presence with a team of highly qualified and experienced Ecological consultants. Throughout the region we are looking for individuals who want to rise the challenge of helping with the growth of these offices within both new and existing technical disciplines; whilst developing their teams and themselves in the process. Given the responsibility for leadership, growth and development the roles will fall in to the upper end of our staff grades.
Given the responsibility for growth and development both of the team and the business, a key requirement for these opportunities is for professionals who have the proven ability, or the clear potential, for business development and the development and management of teams within their specialist consulting field.
Duties:
Working alongside existing technical teams throughout the UK office network, the successful candidate(s) will be responsible for the technical and commercial development of new geographical teams within the relevant office. Key responsibilities will include the development and delivery of new business/projects, along with the subsequent expansion of the technical team in the location to facilitate further growth as workload dictates.
Technical Skills & Abilities:
Proven work winning capabilities within a consultancy context
Education, Qualififcations & Memberships:
Relevant first degree
Related post-graduate qualification
Membership/Chartered Status with a relevant professional body/institute
Technical expertise within a relevant discipline currently offered by SLR Consulting
